This cool kid is 10! We celebrated her with a fash This cool kid is 10! We celebrated her with a fashion show themed birthday this weekend complete with a Runway Relay (the grandmas & my hubby killed it), hotdogs (her fav), and glam candy necklaces. Today she made sure she would get a birthday visit from the tooth fairy. 🦷
We've been back a week and we're still flying high We've been back a week and we're still flying high from a few days @pearlrb in Rosemary Beach. The service was spectacular! Massages, long walks on the beach, & time together were a balm for the soul! A kid free getaway is going on the books for next year too.
So many beautiful & fun books on the shelves this So many beautiful & fun books on the shelves this week! I ever grateful for cuddles and books at bedtime. Those are precious nights. 🦃

Excuse my terrible light, snagged a quick pics before we left for a couple days.
Meet my new companion. 10 days ago I discovered a Meet my new companion. 10 days ago I discovered a huge bruise on my inner ankle. It has been aching off and on so I thought I’d better get it looked at. Apparently, I tore a tendon and sheared a bone in half. So foot surgery in a few weeks. 6 weeks non weight bearing and then back to a$$ kicking!
It’s almost Halloween but honestly my brain is a It’s almost Halloween but honestly my brain is already on to Thanksgiving & Christmas. I have over a dozen trees to design & decorate this year between home, business, events. This is my Shelfie from last week, when it was still Halloween in my brain!
Thanks to @kristensellentin for the tip that the cutie ghost on the bottom left was hiding under a dust jacket! Our favorites from this stack are definitely Skeleton Hiccups & The Hallow-wiener 🎃
Bees felt super relatable this week because we wer Bees felt super relatable this week because we were BUSY! Like Mrs. Tittlemouse, I too sat and wondered if my house would ever be clean again 😆 I did manage to photograph the elusive teenager! He’s been BUSY too, finishing up his last 2 required merit badges, building a shoe rack for a local charity, 3d printing all the things, planning his Halloween costume, and making his first YouTube video!
I followed his lead this week which meant not a lo I followed his lead this week which meant not a lot from our curriculum and that’s okay! He made dough and spiced it up (about a tablespoon of cloves…you can smell it across the house), he made homemade butter, strawberry jam with strawberries we picked at the farm, read stack of picture books with mommy and helped me deep clean our basement storage room!

Ever have one of those weeks where it’s a different appointment everyday? I am going to be a busy bee which is so appropriate for AYOL this week 🐝
Halloween will have its month, let’s give Autumn Halloween will have its month, let’s give Autumn the love it deserves! L was into cuddles & books over activities this week, which was perfect when our weather went from 100 to 50. Do your kids have a favorite fall book that you read every year?
Seed week with ENWC & Peter Rabbit is week with @a Seed week with ENWC & Peter Rabbit is week with @ayearof_learning. 🐇 Ended our week with a trip to the farm where in a moment of seasonal dissonance we ended up picking pumpkins and strawberries 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🎃 🍓

We also had an impromptu discussion about which foods come straight from the farm and which are processed (I.e. is there a Tostitos farm?) which led to watching videos about how chips are made, how m&ms are made & lastly how trucks are made. I live for these rabbit hole moments in homeschooling.
I honestly can’t decide if I like apple blossom I honestly can’t decide if I like apple blossom or apple picking season best. Curling up with a beautiful book and a fresh crunchy apple sounds like the perfect way to spend a September weekend!
Harvest Moon week with ENWC & AYOL. We were all a Harvest Moon week with ENWC & AYOL. We were all a little under the weather so we did what we could. L especially enjoyed the sensory bin and counting “moon rocks” on to his galaxy Wondercloth this week.
It’s Harvest Moon Week 🌝 & on my birthday too It’s Harvest Moon Week 🌝 & on my birthday too! We are celebrating with the our favorite moon books and hopefully clear skies this weekend. 🤞 L highly recommends Max at Night, it’s one of his favorite series.
